Xonos has partnered with Team Wearhouse, a manufacturer of athletic apparel, team uniforms and embellished goods, to create a unique business. The partnership combines Team Wearhouse’s domestic and foreign manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and embellishment capabilities with Xonos’ online ordering, customization, Just-In-Time (JIT) production management, customer service and reporting platforms to create an entity capable of offering clients the following:

The Program

NFL Youth Football organizes and supports programs to promote fitness, health and good sportsmanship for kids through football. In addition to organizing the programs, NFL Youth is also responsible for equipping participants and coaches in the programs. Once enrolled in an NFL Youth Football program, program organizers place apparel and equipment orders for program participants.

The Challenge

  • Organizers in the NFL Youth Football programs were frustrated by long order fulfillment times, lack of information on order status and need to repeatedly place re-orders because of inaccurate inventory information.
  • Delays in fulfillment of equipment orders due to lack of coordination between various parties involved in order taking, warehousing, shipping and customer support.
  • Reorders because of inaccurate inventory and product offering information.
  • Lack of management oversight into inventory, demand, and reporting on who ordered what and when.

The Solution

  • Implement multiple private label E-Commerce sites for program participants and NFL staff to place orders directly into fulfillment and production systems.
  • Provide program participants and NFL staff with real-time inventory and order information.
  • Integrate with 3rd party handling processing of insurance and disclaimer forms to automatically create user accounts for qualified program participants and limit items offered to include only those allowed.
  • Forward order information to 3rd parties and the NFL for use in customer support.
  • Offer customers delivery options, including standard ground delivery for free and expedited shipping for a fee based on pricing information from UPS’ online shipping calculator.

The Result

  • Drastic reduction in customer support calls related to mistakes in orders and questions about product offerings.
  • Fulfillment times greatly improved, with all orders shipped within 24 hours of order placement.
  • Reorders due to inaccurate inventory information reduced to zero.
  • Inventory tracking runs smoothly, with all interested parties able to see current quantities of goods and order histories. This information will lead to more accurate ordering of goods for the next season.
