Jean Hamilton, CEO
Jean D. Hamilton is the Chief Executive Officer of Xonos.com, Inc.
Previously, Ms. Hamilton was Chief Executive Officer of Prudential
Institutional and an Executive Vice President of Prudential, Financial,
Inc. Prudential Institutional had revenues in excess of $6
billion. Operating businesses for which Ms. Hamilton had responsibility
at Prudential included Group Insurance, Retirement Services, Guaranteed
Products, Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services, the Prudential
Bank and Trust Company, The Prudential Services Bureau, and Group
Creditors. Ms. Hamilton was responsible for evaluating each
of these businesses to determine their strategic fit within Prudential
and their profit potential. Plans implemented for these businesses
included internal growth, acquisitions, mergers, start-ups, restructuring,
sale, and discontinuation. In addition, Ms. Hamilton had responsibility
for Prudential Marketing and Database Resources in which Prudential’s
initial on-line strategies were designed and implemented.
Prior to being named Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Institutional,
Ms. Hamilton was President of Prudential Capital Group, a private
securities asset manager and originator responsible, at the time,
for a portfolio in excess of $20 billion. Prior to holding
this position, Ms. Hamilton was President of Prudential Asset Sales
and Syndications, a seller and syndicator of private placement securities,
and an entity in whose creation she was involved.
Before joining Prudential, Ms. Hamilton was a Senior Vice President
and Head of the Northeastern Corporate Banking Department for The
First National Bank of Chicago (now J.P. Morgan Chase).
Boards on which Ms. Hamilton serves include RenaissanceRe Holdings,
Ltd., First Eagle Funds and First Eagle Variable Funds, the University
of Chicago Council on the Graduate School of Business, Four Nations,
and the Hudson Opera House Advisory. Ms. Hamilton is a Member
of Brock Capital Group LLC, an investment banking firm.
Ms. Hamilton has a BS in Communications from the University of
Illinois and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University
of Chicago.
David Reed, President
Dave is founder and president of Xonos. He oversees day to day
operation of the company, directs software and Web development efforts
and acts as the primary point of contact for clients. In addition
to being an experienced software developer, Dave has extensive experience
in architecting systems and processes to optimize business operations,
which he has demonstrated on recent projects for Motorola and the
NFL. His professional interests include processes and systems supporting
product customization, just in time production and effective management
through business intelligence.
Previous to Xonos, Dave worked at Environmental Capital LLC, a
public finance advisory firm, where he worked first as an associate
and then as a vice president. During his time there he worked on
over $250 million worth of deals, including the structuring of complex
revenue-backed issuances and the securitization of Tobacco Settlements
for New York State counties.
Before Environmental Capital, Dave worked at the technology consulting
firm Enterface, where he was a lead developer on a maritime navigational
aid that incorporated Satellite, LORAN and NOAA chart data to provide
highly accurate, real time data. Dave also worked at the Department
of Energy Field Office in Philadelphia as a programmer and assistant
systems engineer.
Dave holds a B.A. from Yale University, where he also rowed crew.
David Gavazzi, Principal/Lead Designer
Dave is responsible for every creative and front-facing aspect
of Xonos' work. Having grown up in a family screenprinting business,
he developed his passion for quality and consistency at a young
age. Dave has extensive experience in corporate identity development,
web design, email marketing, user interface design, print production
and presentations. In addition to his creative work, he plays an
integral role in Xonos' business development and customer relations.
Prior to joining Xonos in January of 2004, Dave worked as a freelance
designer in New York City for clients such as Pfizer, Altoids, New
York University, Push Productions and Partnership for Children.
He also served as Lead Designer for an independent New York area
advertising firm.
Dave holds a B.S.in Sociology from Ithaca College and an M.S. in
Counselor Education from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.
Andrew Sears, Lead Developer
Andy leads Xonos’ software development effort. He is
a skilled programmer and architect with experience in Java, C/++,
Perl and Python as well as SQL, HTTP and other Web protocols.
Recently Andy led the development of a product which allows users
to pay for and access real property and tax information via the
Web, and is currently completing a project for a multinational bank
that allows traders and middle office personnel to access settled
trading data securely via the Web.
Prior to joining Xonos in March of 2004, Andy worked as a computer
scientist for the Research and Development Center at General Electric,
where he worked on projects for the Aircraft Engine and Medical
Systems businesses. His work included the development of video
and visual analysis algorithms and software as well as Internet-based
systems.
Andy holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Mathematics
from Siena College and an M.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute.
